Great restaurant the food was made fresh. Tortillas were hand made. Tea was excellent... waitress was very attentive and hospitable.....

Emmys is our "go to" place for amazing Tex-Mex food when we are in Stockdale, TX. The chips were still steaming when they arrived and the salsa was absolutely perfect. My wife's chulupas were so crispy, and loaded with toppings, she said they were the "Best" -:) My enchiladas were made with their homemade sauce and the Land O Lakes American cheese just upped the bar for goodness. Highly recommend Emmys if you're in the area, the folks are down home friendly, the food is excellent, but you just might have to chase your flour tortillas, because Emmys tortillas almost float away. Enjoy South Texas Tex-Mex at Emmys.

This was the best tasting Mexican food we have ever had. We got an order to go, of the 1lb. fajitas, which included their homemade tortillas. I don’t usually like tortillas, but these were the best! We are VERY satisfied with everything!

First time here. Lunch at noon. Seated immediately and drink and entree order taken quickly. Ordered the beef fajita plate. Like that the complimentary chips are two colors. It’s right on the highway and has a bit of a diner feel inside with metal chairs and Formica table tops. Metal utensils, ceramic plates, paper napkins. Food arrived very quickly. Good for a lunch break meal. Meal was pretty standard fajita plate, rice beans, guacamole, pico, two tortillas, and enough meat to fill them up. The meat was small cut (like that) and tender. The flavor was mostly a beef flavor without overpowering seasoning. The pico was pretty spicy to me. My meal with tea was $14. Not a bad lunch

I got the migas plate and it wasn't bad but there was really nothing about it that stood out. I was driving through. The place was mostly empty on a Tuesday morning around 11am. The music was nice. Better than the places that have the TVs blaring. But the migas seemed more chip than egg. The onions were cut pretty large. The potatoes were not crispy and the beans were kind of bland. I would try one of the other places in town the next time I pass through before going back here. To top it off, I paid at the counter. My tab was $12. I paid by card and she asked if I wanted to tip. I said yes, put 20% on it. When I signed the receipt, I saw she'd tipped herself $5 (42%) on my $12 tab. No thanks.

I have never been here. The food was good and hot. The food was not greasy. The tea was exceptional. Betsy came by 5 times to ask if I needed a refill. Best service I have had in a long time. I will be back.
